I’m continually amazed by the fact people will get mad at me for speaking the TRUTH rather than being mad at the people who lied.
As painful as the following information will be for many to digest it’s the TRUTH.
The Attorney General regulates charities and the professional fundraisers who solicit on their behalf. The purpose of this oversight is to protect charitable assets for their intended use and ensure that the charitable donations contributed by Californians are not misapplied and squandered through fraud or other means.
Business entity documents, including Statements of Information are available for free on the Secretary of State’s Business Search. It’s amazing what one can learn from publicly available documents if one takes the time to look. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, most “warriors” refuse to look.
For those not quite up to speed, Brandy Vaughan’s Council For Vaccine Safety charity runs the Learn The Risk campaign.
Donate! Donate! Donate! Donate has been and continues to be the exercise.
Has anyone besides myself ever wondered why there has NEVER been a billboard in Senator Richard Pan’s district?
The TRUTH: GoFundMe does NOT charge “9% and 12%”
Why are there so many blind followers in the “Health Freedom” movement?
The Registry Verification Search tool allows a registrant’s public filings to be viewed and downloaded from the Registry database. These public filings include a copy of the annual informational return (Forms 990, 990-PF, and 990-EZ) filed with the Registry, as well as registration forms and documents that organizations are required to file.
This tool, along with the resources posted on the Resources page, allow donors to become informed about a charity before making a decision to give. In the Guide to Charitable Giving for Donors, pdf, you will find giving tips and, at pages 9-14, a guide to reviewing the Form 990.
With that said, let’s begin by reviewing page 1 from the one and only Council For Vaccine Safety 990-EZ filed on February 16, 2017 for the year 2015.
Yes, the Council For Vaccine Safety 2015 990-EZ was filed February 16, 2017.
Has anyone besides myself bothered to read the Council For Vaccine Safety’s ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION?
These are just a few questions the “movement” should be – but isn’t asking.
1.) Why was the 2015 990-EZ filed for the calendar year April 1, 2015 – March 31, 2016 if “The fiscal year of the Corporation shall begin on the first (1st) of January and end on the thirty-first (31st) of December in each year” as stated in ARTICLE 10 of the Council For Vaccine Safety’s own ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION?
2.) Where is the 990-EZ covering April 1, 2016 – December 31, 2016?
3.) Why was the 2015 990-EZ not filed until February 16, 2017?
4.) If “GoFundMe charges 9% and 12%” why does the 2015 990-EZ not list any payments made to GoFundMe?
5.) How were “24 billboards” and “16 educational booths” funded with $19,033?
Will people continue to follow these pied pipers right over the cliff into the abyss, thinking everything is just fine? Or will people engage in reasonable, reflective thinking focused on critical thought? Keep reading, it gets worse.
Did you know the Council For Vaccine Safety INITIAL REGISTRATION FORM filed on July 6, 2016 was signed and dated September 1, 2015?
If the INITIAL REGISTRATION FORM filed on July 6, 2016 was signed and dated September 1, 2015 where was the INITIAL REGISTRATION FORM from April 1, 2015 – July 6, 2016?
Did you know the Council For Vaccine Safety INITIAL REGISTRATION FORM claims assets were first received June 1, 2015?
If assets weren’t first received until June 1, 2015 why does the 2015 990-EZ begin April 1, 2015? (Remember, ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION weren’t filed until May 4, 2015.)
Apparently “The fiscal year of the Corporation shall begin on the first (1st) of January and end on the thirty-first (31st) of December in each year” as stated in ARTICLE 10 of the Council For Vaccine Safety’s own ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION is NOT accurate.
Ladies and gentleman, ask questions and demand answers. It’s OUR money!
The TRUTH: $20,960 or 52% of our donated dollars were spent on “Other expenses” according to the Council For Vaccine Safety 2015 990-EZ.
Lets review SCHEDULE O, pages 13 & 14 (pictured below) from the Council For Vaccine Safety 2015 990-EZ. The entire 15 page 2015 990-EZ is available here.
Did you notice Line 1 Gross Receipts $8,219.00?
Did you notice Line 4 Cost Of Goods Sold $8,219.00?
Did you notice Line 5 Gross Profit $0.00?
Why does the “Learn The Risk store” charge $5.99 to ship a women’s t-shirt but only $2.99 to ship a men’s t-shirt? But it’s “for the cause” some will say. No, it isn’t. (Gross profit $0)
At this point I’m going to ask for a little reader participation in order to help illustrate a point. I want you to experience this for yourself rather than take my word for it.
Please visit https://shop.spreadshirt.com/learntherisk/ and go to the bottom of the page where you see “Legal Info” as seen in the picture below.
Click “Legal Info”
Next, please visit http://www.spreadshirt.com
Let’s place an order for the same men’s t-shirt sold at the Learn The Risk store for $19.99 + $2.99 shipping. WOW! $14.99! In reality, a purchase from spreadshirt.com will cost less than the same purchase from the “Learn The Risk store” on any given day.
If Learn The Risk makes “$0.00 Gross Profit” as claimed in their 2015 990-EZ why on earth would anyone not purchase directly from spreadshirt.com and save money?
The “movement” needs to spend less time on Facebook and more time reading publicly available documents.
